Jaxson: Plastic bottles which require a lot of force use, and then squirt out much more than anyone would need.
Eg shampoo or sauce etc

Actually any bottle design that can’t be used by the elderly/mobility impaired.

Actually just dumb/poor design all round.

Saw this on Three's The Project last night.

https://ethiqueworld.com/

Shampoo bars from a NZ company. According to the CEO of this business, a normal shampoo is about 60-70% water

Wifer buys these for herself, I use shampoo. Tried using the bar and it is nice but I think it disappears a lot faster than shampoo...

I use a shampoo bar from Lush. Lasts me a lot longer than a bottle. Useful when travelling too. Lush seems cheaper than the ones at the above link.

One of the advantages of being folically challenged.  Last time I bought shampoo was about 3 or 4 years ago I think.  $5 for 2 bottles from Pak'N'Save.  I'm nearly out though so this is a useful discussion.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

This packet of peanuts not only says "Ingredients: Peanuts", and "CONTAINS PEANUTS" in bold, but also tells me that there may be cross-contamination as the same line also works with peanuts.

I think - just maybe - there may be peanuts involved.

"Black Boxes aren't black at all

They're actually painted a loud, vibrant colour called International Orange. The purpose behind this is to make them highly visible in the event of an accident, since there can be a lot of debris.

Aviation industry professionals don't actually call them black boxes.

As previously noted, the name "black boxes" is actually a misnomer, and it turns out, most people aren't completely sure why the term is still used.

Whatever its origins may be, you likely won't hear a professional referring to them by that name. Instead, they call them by their technical terms: Flight data recorders and cockpit voice recorders, or FDRs and CVRs."

Just silly of the media to keep calling them black boxes for no good reason.

To me a "black box" is something that accepts inputs, does some unknown processing on them, and produces outputs. I can't see what the processing is, so to me it's a "black box".

Dude at the gym, who walks away from the bench press leaving all the weights on it.    See this fairly often and I curse them for it..... He hasn't left anything behind so assume he has left it for good.

So, I remove all his little weights, and load up for my workout.

Get through a set, and he returns!! WTF???  He said he just went for water, i told him he should have left a towel or drink behind as it looked like he had finished.

So, I ask how much longer he has, he says around 30 minutes...that is a heck of a long time and the gym is really busy .  So, whatever, it stuffs my routine a bit but I'll live.

I watch him, and he has actually reserved about 3 machines and he is doing a mini circuit, reserving every machine for his sole use and chasing people off if they try to use one.   There are some utterly rude people at gyms!

Spending time on the phone with a mobile phone company discussing plan changes. Taking their recommendation.

Finding out when it's business critical that the tablet no longer shares the new plan data connection and cannot do so because the way the business set up works is far less straightforward and more expensive and nobody even mentioned that it woud stop working if I changed the plan.....

If anyone mentions FDR in conversation I will initially assume they refer to a former POTUS.

Or worse - the ones who simply abandon their trolley and wander off to find things in other aisles. Allegedly, I may have been known to add random goods to their trolleys...

Made worse by the narrow aisles so many supermarkets seem to prefer here - some of the nearest ones to us are actually difficult to pass two abreast in without paying careful attention.
