Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
Looking at some of the individual results in England what is interesting is that where remain has won it has been by a small margin but where leave has won it has been pretty much a landslide.
London is pretty clear in the Stay camp though (about 2/3rds stay). Rest of England wants to go though. Scotland firmly in the Stay camp as well.
Interesting watching the Live results coming through.
Polls wrong again.

MikeB4: I think this process gives our leaders a message. Don't forget the people and maybe we need a referendum for TPP
It also shows the world how a civilised nation decides important matters without a bullet.
Nigel Farage used that without a bullet line and is now being hunted down by the Twitterati because that MP got shot...!

Yep, BBC predicting brexit. Only 70 results left.
MikeB4: I think the Pound will rebound.
Of course it will. It's been a massively desirable currency for a very long time. These wobbles will soon dissipate.

It'd rather harden their resolve to avoid holding a referendum at all cost - about anything "important" at all, IMO.
Opinion polls have been firmly against TPP, that's been ignored and countered by the old "mandate was granted in the last general election" ploy, bolstered somewhat by support (for TPP) by present and past members for the opposition.
There's anti-establishment sentiment all over the democratic world. Unfortunately (IMO) that's allowing political opportunists to gain traction. It might be democratic, but democracy always carries the risk of becoming influenced by "mob rule". Good luck to the UK - hopefully enough of the population have enough sense so that things don't descend to chaos. Where's this going to happen next?

I've got the shampoo on ice...

I can hardly bear to watch this!!

This sort of protest, as that's what it is, has been building in various parts of the world for a long time now.
The advent of the internet has meant that individuals have become a lot better informed (or not if they read the wrong blogs/news) and they resent being ignored by whoever is running the show except every 3 or 4 years when there is an election due.

Hence, the flag referendum/distraction that virtually no one saw as an immediate issue.
Well according to the BBC I predicted the percentages correctly (52-48). I just got them the wrong way round!
gzt: Mr Key must have been sorely tempted to reactivate his forex trading account recentlly ; ).
Probably has...!

Big, big, BIG smile on my face at the moment.
I wont say I called it on page 1 just yet ........... but BIG grin and more than likely $200 better off!
