Pardon me if I am being judgemental, but that really sounds like a First World problem!

This is not directed at you Rikkitic I get very irritated by the term "first world problem". It is bandied around often here and it seem like a way to trivialise a problem that is a problem for the  person. One of those silly buzz phrases that needs to go the way of the Dodo

It trivialises the problem because it is a trivial problem to begin with. Be objective and tell me that having to spend a few extra seconds stabbing at a pocket computer in exchange for getting hot food brought to you is not a first world issue of the first order. We're not sitting here complaining about a lack of rain and how many dead children we've got from our failed crops .

Anyway, let's get back to moaning about our late couriers :-)

Anybody using Facebook to announce anything. Facebook has no official status as a point of contact. Not everyone is on Fecebook (typo but I decided to leave it). Not everyone wants to be on Facebook. There is a movement away from Facebook because of its (non-)moderation policies. Quit giving it more legitimacy than it deserves. Quit assuming this is a good way of distributing information.

Like it or not social media is a very powerful marketing tool.

Yeah it drives me nuts too. Basically insinuates that if you aren't starving in Africa then you should keep quiet. See it a bit on mountain-bike forums. Oh you shouldn't be complaining about your $15k bike because first world problems etc.

NB. I do not have a $15k mountain-bike! Maybe if I added them altogether... N+1

Labelling it as such is just an acknowledgment that it's a pretty inconsequential in the scheme of things. It's not matter of putting up and shutting up, it's just an acknowledgment that's all.

Another forum I frequent as a whole thread dedicated to First World Problems because it's a place people can put their 'little whines' and we can all get a laugh over it because we know how petty it all is.

Also it's good fun to take it out on the Karen's of the world who take these FWP as if it's the absolute end of the world (wouldn't be a Karen if they didn't).

The irony is you are using social media to say this.

At least I'm not using Facebook or Twitter. As a GZ subscriber I don't see ads. @Freitasm has weeded out all the fake accounts. Not sure what other marketing tools I am being subjected to here, unless you are a clever Russian troll sent to lull me into a false sense of security.

Good, that means they're working.

Isn't that also basically the whole point of this thread?  95% of "small annoyances" most likely are "first world problems".
But, they are small annoyances for us.

The widespread use of the term "cancel culture" by privileged peoples from dominant cultures whose institutions have systematically and deliberately tried to "cancel cultures" of others for hundreds of years.

That may be so, but on another forum, this time golf, people will discuss/argue the merits of a particular golfer and usually someone will chime in, oh what have you achieved in golf compared to Tiger, what do you know etc, how are you qualified to say that...

That's the whole point. If the forum was for Tiger Woods types only it would be a very quiet forum!!
