Having the family home during lockdown.
Can't bother them when they're working, but it's OK to constantly interrupt me when I have been working FULL TIME from home for the last 5 months!

This is a nice story. It illustrates that not all insurance companies are greedy corporates out to screw their customers.
Weren't AA Insurance the company that also refunded millions because the number of claims had gone down over the lockdown? Maybe it's time for me to review my insurance policies...

I don't know about AA insurance but SouthernCross gave a discount to their users.

Xero.
Every time one of our suppliers adopts it, some kind of issue arises that costs me in time and effort to resolve it so that their accounting is "easier".

Xero today. They seem to have disconnected 90% of our OAuth2 clients across multiple projects requiring a manual reconnect after getting a load of invalid_grant's. Had some timeouts around 15:00 today and it disconnected them after that. 100% uptime on their status page though :(
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
Smoke alarm initiating low battery beeps at 0300.

Smoke alarm initiating low battery beeps at 0300.
There's a reason for that... If you don't want to hit the link "As a smoke alarm's battery nears the end of its life, the amount of power it produces causes an internal resistance. A drop in room temperature increases this resistance, which may impact the battery's ability to deliver the power necessary to operate the unit in an alarm situation. This battery characteristic can cause a smoke alarm to enter the low battery chirp mode when air temperatures drop. Most homes are the coolest between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. That's why the alarm may sound a low-battery chirp in the middle of the night, and then stop when the home warms up a few degrees."

Cabbage trees. IMO they're a horrible plant and there's not place for them in a garden.
They drop leaves that cannot be chopped up be the lawn mower, aren't particularly attractive to look at. As a plant they're almost indestructible.
