Because due to the nature of the item (collectible) I want the box to arrive intact. :) I'm prepared to pay the full shipping cost so that's not the issue.

Please contact our Support Team and inform them you don't want the parcel re-packed under any circumstances. This request will then be passed onto the US warehouse to action.

Thank you. I have done this, and they inform me that they cannot guarantee it "because the items are assessed and repacked before they are actually entered into your account". I have passed on the tracking number etc. and they say they'll do their best.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get the sender to mark the box "gift" "fragile" "do not repack" or any of the other keywords that the terms and conditions suggest might aid my cause.

That's correct, at times it can be difficult capturing the parcel before its registered in the system. Are you only expecting one parcel?

Please send your YouShop Id to youshopsupport@nzpost.co.nz and I'll speak to the warehouse directly to see if anything can be done to avoid repack occurring.

Question, if a parcel is held for GST how long should it take for a notification letter to be sent out?

I tried ringing the 0800 to get my Customs entrance number but keep getting the answer service.

Managed to get through and NZ Post have informed me that its been processed as for a business as I had addressed it care of my work, now I have to deal with customs to get it changed to a personal item.

This would all be much easier if NZ Post just added the customs entrance number to the tracking details surely?

How long do people wait from the time their package is delivered?  Do they tend to sit around in a pile for a day or so before getting processed?

Mine was delivered at 10:30AM portland time, and I still haven't received the emails from youshop.

EDIT:
Received email just as I posted.  Took till 19:40, which is around 9 hours to be processed after delivery.

Anyone sent any battery packs via youshop? Pretty sure that this item  meets their requirements because it is under 100Wh and is a pack not individual batteries but has anyone had an experience to confirm it is ok?

Here is their policy:

Batteries

  • Stand alone batteries cannot be sent via YouShop
  • Some electronic items containing lithium-ion batteries can be sent through YouShop
  • A lithium-ion battery must not exceed 20 Wh/cell, or 100 Wh per battery/pack.
  • Lithium-ion batteries can’t be sent from the UK via YouShop.

It's all to vague with what a stand alone battery is. They wouldn't give me an answer either way for a kit of cordless drill, battery and charger. Was under on the numbers.
