I want to get my passport renewed, so I went to a place that does passport photos.

They gave me a USB stick with a couple of photos on it.  $35. Ta.

I tried to upload them this evening to renew my passport...and the igov site rejected both of them. It said it would tell me why....but they "why" seems to be just that it doesn't meet their requirements.

Okey dokey.

The folks who took the photos said if this happens, I should come back and they will take some more, but that this was unlikely as their software wouldn't save the images unless they were compliant.

Apparently that isn't correct.

Anyway....Looks like doing it online may prove to be a waste of time.

Anyone else had fun with this?

Sounds like they are still fine-tuning the automated checking system.
