I bought some nice leather wool lined slippers in November, around 6 months ago. They were $80, which is relatively expensive for slippers, though I got a second pair half price. I wear them just about every day, only ever inside, mostly on carpet but we have a few tiles and some lino, for 2-4 hours per day, just wandering around the house.

I noticed today the back of the heal is worn through. The rest of the sole is worn, but not near as much. It's a very soft rubber sole. The upper looks as good as new.

Given it's only been just over six months do I take them back and ask nicely for them to be replaced, or do I figure that six months wear is ok and either chuck them out or pay for them to be resoled?
