I bought a graphics card online from a PC store, and when I received it today, I see a large yellow sticker has been mostly peeled off the box, it's been opened and re-sealed (with a different 'sealing label') and the piece of plastic over the PCI-E plug is not there (I have another of the same model, so I know they originally come with it).

I don't know if it's open box, returned, refurbished etc... and the website made no mention of it being not new in any way. But before I contact the store, I thought I better check, is this actually ok? Because I couldn't find any reference to buying a seemingly new item and finding out it wasn't online, hmm. I remember when I worked in retail we had to label anything not new, but maybe that was store policy rather than act / law?

Thanks for your help :)

Edit - Just checked, and the serial number doesn't match that on the box either. Mmm.

I have seen yellow stickers at pb tech on returned goods, not sure if its 100% like that one or not.
