Strange question I know, cause most people want signs to stop junk mail from being delivered!

We love junk mail, the kids like flicking through the mailers and dreaming about toys they could buy if they saved their money, and we like looking at the specials while eating breakfast.

However, over the past few months, our junk mail supply has dried up.  Right around the time, it appears, that a new person started delivering the junk mail in our area.

From what I have witnessed, the person who delivers the junk mail does so in an old mobility scooter.  I have watched him travel down the other side of the street and deliver junk mail into everyone's mailboxes, and then when it comes to our place and some others in the street he cruises past without a second glance.

To be fair, our mailbox is on top of the front retaining wall, about 1.3m above the pavement.

However, we have no issues with normal mail, or with the local papers.

My thoughts with this are, if he genuinely needs a mobility scooter then how did he get a job delivering junk mail where there could be a chance of needing to reach higher mailboxes? Or is he simply being lazy to stop and put the items in the mailbox?

I wanted to confront him but have so far missed him (and now i am back at work i am no longer at home during the day).

I am also tempted to put a mailbox down lower, but feel that I shouldn't have to do this as there is no issues with normal mail delivery.

The big question is who do i contact about rectifying this issue? Everything i can find is regarding stopping junk mail delivery!

Theres two mailer companies, one does the warehouse, countdown etc and the other is new world, kfc, mitre 10 etc. Reach Media does the countdown one and the other is PMP distribution.

My kids did it for about 18 months, about 300 houses, but they averaged about $40-50/wk between them, not peanuts but not bad money for their age, plus the commitment / obligation of work is good. If you were to work it out at an hourly rate, it would be about $5/hour or thereabouts (would take 1-2 hours to fold and then another 1.5 hours between them to deliver, twice a week). They worked for PMP so had the local newspapers, metropol magazine etc to deliver which is why the weekly rate is a bit higher.

Ended up having a disagreement with PMP about them arbitrarily changing the run and adding another 50 houses / 1.5kms to the run without consultation, so that combined with the eldest starting high school brought an end to deliveries. I don't miss the folding one little bit....
