I am trying to identify the piano solo in S1 E9 ie. the final episode of Maestro in Blue on Netflix - which begins about 34.50 mins.  Neither Shazam nor Google is able to identify it.  The text of the episode advises it is ‘Outa in Die Langpad’ by Die Ventertjies but it’s definitely not that as it’s  totally different on utube from the haunting piano piece.  Does anyone have any ideas please on how I can track it down?  Many thanks in advance

I have found the answer to my original question!  I hunted and found the email of the composer, Kostas Christides, emailed him and was blown away when he immediately emailed me back with this response:

ok now I got it...this is a piano version of a very old and so beautiful Greek song, sung by a very charismatic and significant figure/singer during the second world war Sophia Vembo.

The title is "Poso Lipame" "Ποσο λυπαμαι" ...which is "How sad I am". She actually sings "How sad I am about all the years that passed by before I met you my love and I am afraid that I will lose you one day because I will never forget you"

Here is the original song

I am not sure about the piano version because it wasn't part of the score so I didn't do it. I'll the director and try to find it for you
