Hi There!

I really rate this show, it's really very good, though a little less than it was it's first two seasons.

I often wonder in cases where a firm represents a client in a case where damages are awarded, say 25%, I presume those lawyers are working on contingency. Anyone know how they get on if the ruling it overturned or reduced on appeal?

Cheers

The Good Wife is easily the best show of recent years and the writers manage to get good stories that are up to date with current events. It helps to set it in Chicago where politics is in the blood. Interesting the simalarity between the new mayor of Chicago Rham Emanuel and Gold the Jewish Crisis Manager. Considering Good Wife was started long before Rham took over as mayor it was really good writing to create the character Gold.
I presume you are not watching via TV3  as they just do not know how to handle a good show like this.
They are so far behind the serries which is up to 21 in the States.
Re your question about contingency law if they dont win they get nothing. If they win they get around 20% of the pot.
Meanwhile the Good Wife is getting very exciting last weeks episode with The Good Wife being seconded to the Police Review Tribunal had a really surprising outcome. I wont say more in case you havent watched it yet
Roll on Series 4

Hi There!

I am more interested in what happens if they lose in appeal rather than losing initially?

I would guess that settlement is not made until time for appeals its past.
Once appeal time is past payout would be made
