I'm in the process of looking at bikes but would like a bit of feedback from members that may own or have ridden the type of bikes I am looking at.

I seem to be torn between going for a big twin, Aprilia RSV/Suzuki SV1000 etc or looking at a Japanese inline 4 litre bike.

I have previously owned a Suzuki TL1000R and a GSXR1100 so have experienced both worlds but this was a few years ago now.

I appreciate there has been a huge shift with the inline fours power output with some now putting out 180bhp.

This would seem pretty full on unless you are going to use it at a track day on a regular basis.

Am I right in thinking the v-twins would make more sense for day to day riding, perhaps the odd tour?

You can pick up both type of bikes for about the same money off trademe, in fact very few seem to be selling at the moment so it is probably a good time to buy.
