I have signed up to the warehouse daily deal mail a while back. Nothing spectacular so far and very few tech items.

The big annoyance - the mail arrives about 9am but the product in the mail is not featured on any page until 10am when the deal goes 'live' and the previous days deal is removed.

My usual practice with daily deal sites is open the mail in the morning and if the product is interesting leave a browser tab open with the product picture as a reminder until I have considered the purchase later in the day. Opening a tab for the product is not possible before 10am with the system the warehouse currently uses.

The deals so far have little interest from me but there have been one or two I might have considered longer if I had been able to leave them open in my browser.

Same experience anyone?

I think it's a pretty dull 'me too' attempt from The Warehouse.
They aren't bringing anything overly innovative or cheap...

Exactly my thoughts. What's the point of sending it out at 9.30am if it's not available until 10am anyway. The one or two time I have looked and thought that's interesting it was too early and by the end of the day I really couldn't be arsed.

Well, it's supposed to be technology!

Dick Smith do the same thing, send the emails out mid-afternoon but the item is only available in limited quantities from around 7pm. The difference is that on occasion they actually have some pretty good deals if you happen to be in the market for whatever it is. There's usually a reason why they're cheap though (old or dud model etc).

They all work like that. Gives you a heads up as to what the deal of the day will be. I am not sure why you see that as a bad thing? Go to the site at the allotted time if interested in something that you had advanced notice about, or if nothing takes your fancy then you don't need to waste your time in quiet anticipation waiting for the clock to tick over 10 or 12 or whatever the time may be.

These deal sites use to be great on occasion, they are often a big yawn now. I have personally un-subscribed to all the emails.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Sorry for drifting slightly off topic, but I picked up a small Blu-Ray 5.1 system for about the same price as a set of small external speakers. Great for improving my TV audio.

I get all of the GrabOne email alerts, but I usually delete it without reading it these days.

The strangest thing about the Warehouse version... is the quantities.
The bar indicating the level of stock seems to go up and down all day.
I'm sure if you took them to task they would say something like 'the bar merely indicates a level of interest, not actual stock levels', but it's deceiving either way.

And exhibit A - this is the URL provided by the email - a URL which will not feature any of the details of the goods until 10am or even a picture placeholder.

Additionally if you can guess the URL (some are easier than others) you can put things in the cart and go to the checkout before 10am. That might be handy for some if they start selling the iPhone 5 lol..
