I thought I would just let people know in case they don't already, that Last Man Standing, a comedy with Tim Allen, is really superb. Good Family viewing, great themes, laugh out loud funny almost every episode.

I loved home improvement, this is just as good if not better.

I really dig Tim Allen as a comedian.

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it highly.

Does it still have canned laughter? I watched the first episode then didn't watch the rest. I know when I want to laugh, I don't need to canned laughter.

Canned laughter is an offense against intelligence.

The first season of this show was actually quite good. Unfortunately the second season is a bit rubbish so far. Apparently due to "creative differences" the producers fired the hot actress that played the eldest daughter and replaced her with an annoying plain looking snooze. They also changed her son from a baby to a primary school age kid and introduced a new oxygen thief greenie character for the father. These changes ruined the chemistry of the whole show. To add insult to injury the show has upped the political and social overtones to almost intolerable levels. Checkout IMDb for comparative reviews of the two seasons, everyone seems to feel the same way.

Wow I couldn't disagree more. I didn't even notice the cast change, the dad makes my blood boil, which is a sign of good writing/good acting and I like the political element, I think it reflects the passion a lot of Americans have toward their beliefs no matter how wrong they are :)

That's fine, I still watch the show too. I would prefer that viewers don't get bombarded with whatever political/social issue is doing the rounds in the good US of A. At the end of the day it's only 22 minutes worth of sh_ts and giggles on a medium that doesn't cost me anything.

It will be interesting to see if the show gets a third season in it's present format.
