I want someone to replace the LCD in my Harmony One for me.

I have a replacement LCD to use but the LCD is attached with a 20 pin ribbon with 1mm spacings? Well beyond my soldering skills anyway.

Not sure how much work is involved John, I figure if i tear down the remotes someone should be able to do the job in an hour? Maybe $50 worth of labour.

also requires flux, 63/37 solder, 1/16th flat tip for best results.

Remove with hotair gun. Then wick to clean holes. I try to avoid solder suckers since they can lift pads.

Need plenty of flux to help remove the oxidised solder.

Then clean with flux clean and install new LCD, tack on each end then "drag solder" on the new legs.
