I have just managed to acquire about 6U of rack equipment (servers, UPS, switch)

Anyone have a rack of any size for sale? Know of a good place to buy cheap racks?

What do other people with rack gear at home do? Just stack it up on the bench?

This is just a couple of weeks late... Craig Pringle had a few racks available, before his move with Gen-i Australia... I think he put on Trademe back then.

Easy enough to make (if you're handy with a hammer and nails and a saw)

I made two racks.. one on wheels that fits under my desk, and another which is on wheels and fits into my server wardrobe.

While they're not terribly classy looking, you can paint them up or whatever and probably a lot cheaper than buying a proper rack.

Cheers,

I have one that's not in use. Well.. Not for it's intended purpose!
