Hi There!

I have taken to watching blockbuster 3D movies at Imax, it's awesome. I have a bunch of Hoyts vouchers expiring very soon and I saw they listed Extreme Screen. How does that compare to Imax and does it offer 3D? I haven't seen anything on the site about 3D offerings.

Well to be fair that link doesn't mention Xtremescreen specifically, but they definitely do 3D on those screens. I've seen both the hobbit films in 3D on Xtremescreens and enjoyed the experience. I've never been to an imax theatre though so can't compare them.

I think extreme screen does both. Don't have Imax in christchurch so can't compare.

If your vouchers are like mine you can pay $3 at movie booking to upgrade it to 3d movie.
