Calling fellow geeks.  It is my birthday in the not-too-distant future and my beloved missus asked me what I want.  Well colour me surprised but I couldn't really think of anything, so I thought I'd open it up to the audience to get some inspiration.

Therefore... If someone wanted to buy something for you and had a $100 budget, what would be on your wishlist?

(Unsurprisingly, my missus won't buy games and I've already lined up my Vista upgrade form family)

Dinner for two, of course. Tongue out

Failing that, an Amazon voucher to...uh...buy poetry (Command & Conquer 3 rocks, or Battlefield 2142 if you don't have it already).

Classy mate.  i like you're style - don't think his mrs would appreciate but...

I had the same dilemma in April - most things I want cost more than a hundy... I ended up getting a GPS receiver bundle for my PDA.

But I also want a networked media storage device... PVR... new headphones...

Cheers, Stevo

Hmm, more memory (but isn't 500GB enough?).  RAM could be a goer, esp. with a Vista upgrade on the horizon.

That's the problem with really short hair - everyone can see the thumbprint (ooh, I'm going to pay for that!) Innocent

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

If your really short on ideas I'd go for a usb rocket launcher

Why email your office colleagues when you can hit them in the back of the head with a plastic missle?

Just think of all the bytes of data you'll save. Your sys admin will love you for it!

I concur with the rocket launcher,

I bough one of those ones from thinkgeek and it rocks, what sucks is it doesn't work under linux very well, but considering your upgrading to vista i imagine thats not a problem

Looks like I solved the question (and purely by accident).  Pearl Jam's released a 7-disc box set Live at the Gorge 05/06 so Her Indoors is going to get me that (plus some DSE vouchers to satisfy the inner geek).

Thanks for all the tips guys - I might have to give ThinkGeek a serious going at some point.

I'd be happy with a DVD box set of just about any gritty British detective / crime drama. Can't get enough of 'em!
