Just to let everyone know that there is the opportunity for good customer service.  Maybe not from TCL/TNZ, but it does exist.

This week, 7PM water went off at home.  I dug around for the phone number for Wellington City Council, couldn't find one for water, so I called hte main line.
Two rings, and it's answered.  BY A HUMAN!

"Hello, I'd like to talk to someone about my water supply?  It's just turned off."
"Are you in Johnsonville?"
"Yes..."
"XXXX Road?"
"Yes..."
"Oh, yes, there was a water main burst on your street, they're working on it now.  They should have it fixed by 10:30."
[stunned].. "O.k. thank you very much!"

Now, THAT'S customer support.  Answered in a hurry, and the person who answered the phone new _exactly_ what was going on.

Way to go Wellington City Council!  Your call center staff are on the ball!

Well I just took an electric shaver into a electrical repair shop to see if they could fix it.  I purchased it in the UK & the on/off button was only working intermittantly.  She said if it was under 2 years they'd replace it.  Printed off the online invoice from Amazon.co.uk & voila - 5 mins later she called to tell me I'd get a replacement but nothing like the model I had since it was never sold in NZ - the replacement will be more 'state-of-the-art'.

Thanks Philips!

Cheers, Stevo
