Yup pretty windy here in Whangarei.
Windiest it's been since we've been in this house, which is coming up 2 years.

Lost power for about 15 mins about an hour ago but OK at the moment.
Got the torches ready in case it goes again!

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Little windy here in Wattle Downs (about 5-10 min south of Manukau, South Auckland). Someones wheelie bin fell over, I can hear it sliding around on the street. Little bit wet but nothing major. Feel bad for the rubbish men tomorrow though, poor buggas.

Edit: Still have power though, internet is stupid slow, perhaps everyones downloading shows to watch on the laptop incase it does go out all together. Light flickered not so long ago though, fingers crossed it holds out :D

It might help :-)

Mangawhai ... lots of strong gusty winds and rain!
I'm down to maybe 16 hours of power and there are a lot of outages on the Vector website so going to be a wait for service I think!

Tip from a Wellingtonian, when it hits 120kph turn the BBQ around so that the back is facing the wind, stops the snarlers blowing into the garden.

Nice and windy here north of Whangarei! Power went out around 6.30pm. Came back on about 8.30pm. Managed to watch one TV show and it's just gone out again around 9.30pm.... glad I got to half charge my phone while it was back on! :-)

Sounds like a normal day in Wellington.

No big deal.

Well to be quite honest most of the news reports were talking about places north of Auckland. But it is still a big weather event in any case.

Let us know when you start having storms every week that tear roofs off peoples homes, then maybe your point will be relevant :)
