Just spotted that Blade Runner Final Cut will be available at the end of the year... and have heard that in Director Cut, Deckard's character was seen leaning toward the "replicant", however prior to that version of the film, it has shown Deckard is a human.

However, Ridley Scott is now confirming that Deckard is a replicant, but the screenwriters and Harrison Ford himself believes Deckard is human...

confusion... I guess, this is similar to "Who shot first?"

Bladerunner is in one of my top 3 films, so my opinion is that no, he is not a replicant.  But really, he is whatever you want him to be, you've got a choice now.  That said, I've never watched The directors cut, nor will I ever do so.  It'll be good when I can get the DVD of the original, my tape got chewed about 12 years ago, and only the directors cut seems to be on television at the moment.

Get the Final Cut Collector, then you can get Original, International, Director's cut and Final Cut version... or if you feel the need to collect all of Blade Runner, go for Ultimate, which include workprint version too... I will go for Ultimate Collector Edition.

As I just commented on your blog, Ridley Scott obviously wants us to think he is (hence the mysterious unicorn scene etc) but in the book he wasn't (apparently).

The version of the DC (1997?) I saw, it had all sorts of errors in it which seemed to point to an additional missing replicant and I was disappointed to see a fixed version the next time I saw it - it removed all the ambiguity.
