It's blue and black - not what I see, but what it is: The Science of Why No One Agrees on the Color of this Dress.

It's interesting to look at, especially when you read why it happens.

Interestingly I just had the nzherald page open which has the image on it. I saw it as a blue and black, left the room, came back and saw it as gold and white. After staring it at for about 20 seconds I then saw it as blue and black again.

alasta: It is 100% white and gold to me.

Now I'm suddenly seeing blue and black, having consistently seen white and gold about a dozen times earlier this evening.

Same thing happened to me earlier

I'm blaming it on lighting conditions / screen brightness changes

seems to be a threshold thing

I wonder if the technology used to view as well as time of day matters. LCD TFT colour shifting vs true blacks of AMOLED. Viewing at night under artificial light or bright daylight.

Its blue + black. I've looked at the picture of various websites and its always blue + black.

Honestly I cant see white or gold at all.
