Hi,

Anyone had any dealings with these guys in the past?

I'm currently dealing with them, and things are not so bright and rosey. I haven't brought a car off them - yet. However, trying to get my 100% money back guarantee is proving a little difficult.

Also, some of their online car auctions are a little dubious in terms of final auction pricing, however, that could just be shill bidding on the part of the auctioneer (then again?).

If everything turns to custard (which will be very shortly by the look of things), I can try the CGA disputes tribunal, and may start a blogg for the benefit of others.

Cheers.

If you haven't bought a car off them yet, why are you trying to get money off them?  Do they owe you a deposit?

Have you checked the fine print in the contract you would've signed?  Is there any escape clauses or procedures??

In all my past experiences, it's a lot easier to get a mutually acceptable resolution when both parties come willingly to the table.  Could you contact vehiclesdirect and raise your concerns with them directly?

If this doesn't work then I think you should take a good read of point 12 of their T&Cs, especially 12.1.3. Could you take your concerns to the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal possibly?

Alternatively, get your lawyer involved.

HTH.

Sorry for the late reply.

Yep, looks like it's going to the Disputes Tribunal.

They run a website that makes it very quick and easy to transfer money from your credit card into their bank account - like any other online service or reseller, which is fine.
However, when it comes to transferring money - like a "refundable" deposit - from THEIR bank account into your account it's like getting blood out of a stone.

Cheers.
