This might appeal more to the (slightly) older members, but who's looking forward to this series and what are your thoughts and expectations?

Really looking forward to it, tbh.  Expectations? Hard to say, the closest anology I can think of is Transformers Rescue Bots, which is surprisingly entertaining even for an adult.... My kids are really enjoying watching-and-watching-and-watching the 2004 film at the moment, so no doubt they'll enjoy this too.

No signature to see here, move along...

Meh. The clips I have seen so far don't look quite right.

There is an article in the UK Daily Telegraph by Gerry Anderson's son - he doesn't sound hugely impressed either!

Looks like they have 'modernised' it.

Unfortunately I think the same.

I fear the unique nature of the series will be lost in a cheap cartoon.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

If it doesn't rate number 1 or 2 in the first 2 weeks then it will be relegated to Saturday afternoons or dead at nite and be replaced by another reality program..

I see ITV have it available for streaming 'for those in the UK'. Not overly positive from the what I've seen of the clips, but I'm hoping my enthusiasm will change once I've seen the first episode.

you can watch it on streaming sites if googling (no uk ip needed)

amazing 3d animation in fact.. and its well done... It might be better then the puppets

still would be good if was real actors and real affects to look like real craft though.

Actually I think (could be wrong) it's Pukeko Pictures, not Weta. Still Sir Richard Taylor though.

First episode was as cheesy as I remember the original being. It's a harmless bit of fun aimed at kids (apparently playing on Saturday mornings). Don't expect too much of it and you will be entertained :)

Pretty much as cheesy as the original, they also kept some of the animations, camera angles etc just like the original puppets.

Very cool that David Graham, the voice behind Parker from the original '60s show, is back doing the same job again at the grand age of 89! Not a bad effort!
