Anyone know if FTWD will be screening on NZ tv in August?

No idea whatsoever but have you tried calling TVNZ directly? Or their social media?

If anyone's interested I tweeted @TV2 and they said "we aren't able to comment on this show at this stage sorry" - guess they haven't got the international rights (yet?), or whichever way such things work these days.

Yeah I'd say you're right, they're maybe still negotiating for the rights so can't say yet.

Or it will be on Sky Neon only..

Kiwis will be able to watch the new Walking Dead companion series Fear the Walking Dead on the same day it screens in the US. There's just one catch, you'll have to subscribe to Sky TV's SoHo channel to see it.

Fear the Walking Dead will debut on SoHo at 8.30pm on August 24, with Sky promising that it will be available on their online service NEON later this year and eventually on free-to-air channel Prime.

Sky Basic ($49.22 per month) + Soho ($9.99 per month) + HD Access Ticket ($9.99 per month) + My Sky HD Decoder ($15 per month) = $84.20 per month.

What a bargain. Go grab yours before the show hits the air. wink

I got a free neon subscription for 6 months with my new 2Degrees UFB connection. Have not yet activated it, but may just do so if the show does indeed make its appearance on Neon. But, I'm not holding my breath.

Sky has said that FTWD will be on Neon the same night (ie Monday night) as it airs in NZ.

Great stuff. I just checked the neon website and its listed as starting Monday the 24th.

I still have my 6 months Neon Promo code that I have not yet bothered to activate. (Thanks to 2Degrees broadband). Neon is only in SD quality so not really too excited!

Surprised that no mention of FTWD's availability on Quickflix hasn't been mentioned in this thread. Must be a cheaper option than Sky?

We have sky for the RWC, so watched FTWD on Soho last night.

It was OK, but had what I call Titanic syndrome - you know how the story is going to end.

I always find that detracts from watching something.

Can't say the first episode was that great, but it wasn't terrible either. Hopefully it improves, but a 6 episode first season is not a long time and it feels like they didn't make good use of the first, imo.

I was hoping for the story to begin and elaborate more on the virus origin before getting into the zombie fest..
