Respectable scientists are seriously considering the possibility that mysterious objects detected by the Kepler space telescope around a star 1500 light-years away could be the artificial constructions of an advanced civilisation. Work is now underway to gather more data by examining the star with a radio telescope.

I'm not sure what this says to other people, but to me it says that if this does turn out to be the work of an alien civilisation, they were already way ahead of us 1500 years ago and they have now had 1500 years to come here. Maybe it is time to start prepping, American-paranoid style. Falling Skies may be closer than you think.
