So this is quite a good one. To me it looks like just as the woman in front moves in front of her and she turns and starts to walk off and that she is being shielded by the woman in front. Just one of those things where the split timing of everything happening and the camera angle makes it looks like she disappears , in any rate its pretty cool.

She turns and walks along beside the lady with the trolley?

Yes.  You can see her begin to turn before the lady in front passes.

You can also (just) spot the while on her jacket shoulder reappear behind the lady just as they both move off camera.

I have no idea how it's news either. She very clearly walks behind the other woman.

The Herald swore they would not go tabloid. (They've gone tabloid).

Looks pretty obvious that she turns and walks out behind the woman in the foreground - she's just much better at it than Matt Damon. In the first Bourne movie, when he comes off the boat and that van goes past and he "disappears", you can clearly see him bent over and running beside the van as it drives off.

How is this any different to north of the Bombay Hills?  (as someone who lives north of  the Bombay Hills). :-)

I see some muppets want to build a waterfront stadium in Auckland. They probably think that's a good idea because the media rarely mention climate change or sea level rise.

It's not a good idea. But a lack of real news might have left them in the dark on that.

I haven't seen this on NZ Herald but I'm guessing the headline went something along the lines of "Woman disappears into thin air on live TV, how she did it will blow your mind"

Did they mean tabloid journalism or tabloid as a paper size (as opposed to broadsheet)?
