Well, of course I know perfectly well where Pokeno is. I used to live in nearby Tuakau, and had to drive through Pokeno to get to SH2.

 

I was just watching the news going on about the Auckland Unitary Plan and that image came up, and I was like "Hang on, isn't that Pokeno?"

 

@coffeebaron so right about the bacon. And ice-creams.

I miss Pokeno Bacon.. when I lived in Hamiltron, no trip to Dorkland was complete with stopping for a Pokeno Bacon toasted sammich.

Where is Pokeno?

Since the highway reconstruction it exists only in the twilight zone. I saw it many moons ago. It was a cold and stormy night.
