Have you ever wanted to drive your car to it's or your limits?
Want to know what the actual top speed of your car is as opposed to what the speedo says?
Felt the need to drive hard than the road rules allow?
Well, here's the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Hutt Valley Motorsport Club and Photoworks.co.nz are running a basic trackday at the Taupo track on Monday April 14th.
All you need are:
- 100% cotton (or full race) overalls.
- MSNZ approved Helmet
- 0.9kg extinguisher with metal bracket bolted in the front seat area.
- Civil drivers licence
- WOF level car (or MSNZ logbook)
- Enthusiasm for a fun day of driving at your own pace
Entry form is here and can be filled out online and emailed to email@example.com
Payment details are in the Regs (1st link).
You can also sign up on the photoworks website http://photoworks.co.nz/trackday
You'll still have to fill out the entry form though.
You don't have to be a member of a car club and you don't need a race licence.
These days are a lot of fun and you get plenty of tracktime.
For those not keen on drilling holes in the floor for an extinguisher, you can make a bracket that goes between the front seat mounting bolts and bolt the extinguisher bracket to that. Ask me if you want the exact specs for that.
Any questions, pm me on here, or ask in the thread.
