I know this is a long shot but.........

Have you ever wanted to drive your car to it's or your limits?
Want to know what the actual top speed of your car is as opposed to what the speedo says?
Felt the need to drive hard than the road rules allow?

Well, here's the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Hutt Valley Motorsport Club and Photoworks.co.nz are running a basic trackday at the Taupo track on Monday April 14th.

All you need are:
  • 100% cotton (or full race) overalls.
  • MSNZ approved Helmet
  • 0.9kg extinguisher with metal bracket bolted in the front seat area.
  • Civil drivers licence
  • WOF level car (or MSNZ logbook)
  • $135
  • Enthusiasm for a fun day of driving at your own pace
Regulations (info) for the event are here.
Entry form is here and can be filled out online and emailed to trackday@photoworks.co.nz
Payment details are in the Regs (1st link).
You can also sign up on the photoworks website http://photoworks.co.nz/trackday
You'll still have to fill out the entry form though.

You don't have to be a member of a car club and you don't need a race licence.
These days are a lot of fun and you get plenty of tracktime.

For those not keen on drilling holes in the floor for an extinguisher, you can make a bracket that goes between the front seat mounting bolts and bolt the extinguisher bracket to that.  Ask me if you want the exact specs for that.

Any questions, pm me on here, or ask in the thread.

Cheers
Geoff

Well, sign up then.  I'm sure your car will love you for it.  Laughing
We are a little short on numbers currently which is why I tried the long shot of advertising on a non-car forum. Smile
Needing a minimum of 40 people and we are at 25 registered entries at present.
We limit the numbers to a maximum of 60 in order to guarantee maximum tracktime for everyone.

As an aside, I'm quite intrigued at the ads that appeared on the lefthand side bar of this topic.

Motor Sports In NZ
Drive a V8 Race Car
Track Days
Tyre Warmers

Targetted marketing much?  Tongue out
