Hi

Any chance anyone else is getting calls from this line. They are being made to my home phone. I have a few missed calls but I have also picked up a couple of times and I can hear someone putting down the receiver after I greet them. I did a google search and someone raised same issue with same number.

Anyone else?

Yes, I got one from a similar number yesterday. I now don't bother to answer them. Pretty sure they are just automated dialers, and when yo upickup you then get put on hold to talk to one of the scammers. This is making phone calling more irrelevant.

I also got a call from a number beginning with 020 4### ####. Is that a legit mobile number in NZ?

020 is Skinny's number allocation IIRC, so it's a legit cheap sim card, but beyond that who knows

Haha, ignorance much? 020 is the Skinny prefix, has been for two years or so. At this stage I've only seen 020 4 with 6 or 7 digits following.

Well it was a scam caller, so maybe it was a hyjacked number with 8 digits after the 020. Thought it looked too long. Had the same problem with overseas callers using 09 numbers.

8 digits after the prefix is legit. As you posted.

Orcon was also using 020 before Skinny back in 2010. Probably just someone who has purchased a burner phone to make scam calls from.

I have had calls from people representing real estate agents from skinny 0204xxx phones. I guess they get them those with the unlimited calling and ditch it after they get complaints.

Usual crap about have you considered selling your house, would you like a market appraisel type scammy stuff.
