Hi All,

We are wanting to get some family photos done.

We have the photographer and family, just looking for a nice location in Auckland to have them.

My wife is restricted in her mobility do somewhere with easy access is needed, we also have a dog and he is part of the family so some ware that allows dogs is needed.

The photographer has suggested in spring when the trees are in blossom which sounds good to me, I think of somewhere that has water views as well.

If you koow someware that might be good can you please let me know so we can scope it out and add it to the list of possibilities.

Thanks

John

Nathan Homestead (sure I've seen dogs on leashes there) in Manurewa, or the Auckland Botanical Gardens (definitely dog on leash friendly) over the other side of the motorway from the Homestead. Or both! Since they're so close.

ETA: Both are also wheelchair friendly

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

You say that you have the photographer. Why not ask them?

If they are any good, they will be able to suggest a few places based on your requirements and/or suggestions. Perhaps after talking to them you may be able to source the place(s) out?

We had some nice photos done on a beach - there are plenty in the north shore and hibiscus coast area, and if you wait until December the Pohutukawa will be in bloom.

Access is generally good, and although you might strictly be bending the dog restrictions, in reality nobody is going to mind a dog on a leash in spring

Thanks all,

We had thought of the botanic gardens, bastion point, North shore beaches and Musick Point, the photographer has lots of options but we want to have a look at some other options that we know would be good and can scope them for suitability first.

Also, consider Maungauika/North Head Historic Reserve. Nice all round views. You can get Rangitoto in the background or the city and the bridge or the northern beaches. Also nice sunsets over the city.
