On this article NZHerald about the public sector Barry Soper made an interesting typo.
"The current Godfather of the pubic service, State Services Commissioner Peter Hughes"
Expect it will be corrected at some point :)

I wouldn't be so sure.
Both the NZ Herald and Stuff last week referred to Clark Gayford as the PM's husband. Days later neither had fixed it.
I emailed the person who wrote the article, I would expect they can edit it.

aaaarrrggghhhh
This is my all-time favourite typo:-
"When Dr B Orbell re-discovered the Takahe in 1945 there were an
estimated 250 to 260 pairs of the birds.
By 1966 the numbers had slowly fallen to 180 to 200 pairs,
and then dropped to 85 to 110 pairs by 1970.
At least eight consecutive years of normal reproduction and
low morality would be needed to stabilise the adult population,
Mr Reid said".

This is not the first time . I remember back in the early 1980s they did the same in a headline in the business section for the Public Trust . A friend of mine at the time who was a Linotype operator at the time said it's a pity that the hadn't spelled it Pubic Thrust.
