What to do when you find yourself with a bunch of IPv6 addresses?

Assign RGB colours to them of course and make them flash lights on a Christmas tree when someone pings it!

Perhaps I am misinterpreting your written instructions, but my Mac just says it cannot resolve the address due to "unknown host"

Make sure you actually have IPv6 connectivity first - you should see in green "IPv6" above the Geekzone logo at the top of this page.  Geektastic, I don't see an IPv6 badge on your profile ...

Test that your IPv6 connectivity works by running a ping -6 to facebook.com where you should get replies

Instructions on that website: "You won't get a ping reply (saves me bandwidth) but in the livestream you should see LEDs flashing for every packet received." -- except at the moment the lights are flashing like crazy and you won't know if the flash was from your ping :p

I can see the green IPV6 logo though.

@Geektastic Yes, I can see you're posting from an IPv6 address.

Just note this from the website:

You won't get a ping reply (saves me bandwidth) but in the livestream you should see LEDs flashing for every packet received.

I did. But the Terminal command in my Mac responded with Unknown Host.

Perhaps I got that wrong. I don't know if (for example) the 2001 is part of the address or not.

I think it worked! When I put it on Live though it skips and judders, playing 1 or 2 seconds, then nothing for a few more seconds, then same again. There was definitely flashing though!
