I currently have a New World Club Card, that earns Fly buys points on purchases. I got this card for the Club Card discounts New World offers on grocery shopping rather than Fly buys points.
I also have a Debit card from my bank that I make the grocery purchases with.

I recently found out I can link my Fly buys account directly to my Debit card, which will save me having to scan the New World Club Card and my Debit card when buying groceries.

What are the security risks (if any) by doing this?

It shouldn't be a risk. FlyBuys do not store your credit card. They use a card processor to generate a token and link that to your account.

Interesting - any more information on how to do this? I'm struggling to find relevant information on Fly Buys' site.

Thanks; it seems that you need to know the name of the service before you can find details about it! (either that or click through every single page...)

freitasm:

FlyBuys Go.

New World does not participate in the 'Go' scheme. It's just for smaller businesses. You can swipe your EFTPOS/Credit/etc card at those businesses to get FlyBuys points for each $20 spent. It's apparently a easier way for them to participate in Fly Buys.

It's separate from the main Fly Buys scheme where you present your FlyBuys card and the merchant awards points directly to the FlyBuys account (with no relation to the payment card used).

Where you can use FlyBuys you use the card. Smaller places - like restaurants, cafes, and boutique shops will automatically credit you via your linked credit card.

It works well and I have linked two different cards (from two different flags) and it all just works.
