Hi all,

Just been looking at some knife blocks online and stumbled across Catchoftheday.co.nz . They have some interesting pricing. Has anyone had any dealings with these guys? Looks like an Aussie outfit which has recently entered the nz market.

Seen a few things of interest but exercised restraint. People at work have bought from them and got what they ordered no problems.

I was looking at them yesterday. Their warranties page only mention Australian law etc. Would the NZ consumer guarantees act apply?

Don't buy anything / spend over the duty threshold.. they don't sort out the duty and GST for you.

No, but the Australian Consumer Law is explicitly written to apply to Australian businesses selling to NZ consumers. The ACL is equally as strong as - if not stronger than - the Consumer Guarantees Act, and far reaching enough that even Valve (Steam) was forced to comply.
