What they really want is NZ's broadband. I could imagine that video took hours to upload on their Australian connection.

Didn't do it for me, but I got a laugh out of the One Nation reference.
They're just pulling our pud. NZ would benefit way more from some alliance than Australia would, I'd vote for it though.

Same, seemed like I just lost some of my time on this planet for no reason.
Like, not even sure how this is related to Aussie day, Our lamb is better anyhow??
I thought bits of it were funny but I've got no idea what it was trying to advertise.

Nice to see them taking the p*ss out of themselves for a change.
I'd probably vote for a merge (if it ever came to that - not likely though IMO).

In my opinion New Zealand would gain nothing from any merger and most likely be worse off.
We'd still be 4 to 5 million people on a group of islands 1200 nautical miles from Australia with the same issues we had before any merger, but now with a federal government that would have less knowledge of and less interest in our problems than any government we ever had in the past.
On top of that we'd be paying for another level of government than we have now and we'd be bound by their more over bearing legal system. I know from experience the Australians compare their aviation rules to ours and look at ours in envy as being much simpler to use and understand compared to theirs. The difference being a reflection of how the Australian legal system works compared to ours.

I think those tongs are cool. You could be standing inside and still turn the meat on the bbq!
Aussie has been doing these Australia Day lamb ad's for years. Some are good and some not so.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
