Power has gone out in parts of Auckland. Don't know if it is due to overload but wouldn't surprise me.

 

Tough luck with this weather, guys. It's always there until you need it.

I guessed overload this morning due to air conditioning.

There appears to be plenty of generation reserves available, probably an unrelated local network outage ..

I Haven't seen anything super recent, but traditionally NZ ( and Auckland) peak loads are winter evenings,.... summer load is likely to be rising (esp with favouring of heatpumps), but I don't think it has flipped yet....

 

Auckland used to have  supply capacity issues  but the Waikato transmission lines installed in the last decade fixed that...
