Trying to watch the Olympics Live from TVNZ's website using safari is a nightmare, It constantly redirects the pages URLs, however no problems on IE7 or Firefox.

Just wondering if any one else is having similar problems.

Tested on 3 PC's Running Safari, none of them work, but when I use firefox Its a OK.

I generally find TVNZ On Demand does not work with safari. Its a compatibility thing.

(Also, not sure this is the right board for this topic)

It'snot TVNZ ondemand its the TVNZ website which uses Windows Media Player. Maybe you have your problem there? Have you installed the latest plugin for it? By the way Its an awesome service in which TVNZ are hosting , not only do I have HD quality to 4 olympic channels but if I miss an exciting moment I can always watch it later.

I would recommend to use an external player and play from there rather than using it from a browser.

anthonybs: ...not only do I have HD quality to 4 olympic channels but if I miss an exciting moment I can always watch it later.

700kbps is not really HD, but it is very good picture quality indeed - and only TV ONE is truly broadcast in HD (so TVNZ Sport Extra isn't on the list yet).

Ok so is TV ONE on the web HD quality but not TVNZ sports extra and the other channels? Probably why they only say "High Quality"

I've also had trouble watching it with Safari. Oh well, I guess the TV is good enough for me

First, make sure you've got the latest release of the Flip4Mac WMV plugin.. go to http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm.

Mine is currently at version 2.2.1.7.

Once flip4mac is installed, you can adjust its settings from System Preferences, to e.g. open streams in QuickTime player rather than the browser.. this allows you to view fullscreen etc.
