Earlier today I went to use my phone and it was rather warm and had turned off. I tried to turn it back on but it wont.

Tried leaving the battery out for a while but nothing...

Any phone techs out there no what this might be and if it is likely to be fixable? Handset is still under warranty.

What's the phone? I suggest taking it to the mobilefone repairs, as it is still under warranty

It's a Nokia N73. Supplied by Brightpoint earlier in the year under a phoneInsure claim.

Look like it is the battery. Just borrowed one and it worked.
