My mother is with Contact Energy and her rates are going up.  Her internet provider is Slingshot and she has been offered what looks like a cheaper deal, plus she gets $20 credit on her monthly internet bill.  She currently pays about $1200 per year for her power (Auckland North Shore)

Anyone know of reasons NOT to go with Slingshot?  I had no idea they even offered to supply power!

Compare with Powerswitch. It might give you a small monthly discount but it's just power, so go with the best power plan that suits her needs - Powerswitch will help you find the best deals.

Slingshot internet has been rubbish in the based (customer service that is) I would assume power isn't great. I welcome correction if this is no longer true.

A friend here in Wellington went with the whole package from Slingshot and was very happy. He says it’s saved him a lot in the deal they gave him. I’d say you’d need to talk to their sales team to see what an all inclusive package would cost.
