Sucks to be in Auckland I guess.  Pretty stoked it's not Wellington this time though, my day turned to custard after that outage a couple of weeks ago!

Any GZers still got power up there?

Got power here on the Shore.

I feel sorry for the power team at Vector today, they're going to be very busy, and receiving a lot of calls!

It was fun our UPS handled it flawlessly and the diesel generator fired up first time.  So we could have kept our servers and services going for around 8 hours before having to go get some more diesel .

Fortunately the outage wasn't that long like <2 hours.

Same here when the Wgtn outage happened.  Still didn't stop me being called at 7:30am and asked to come in early to make sure everything came up properly.  It's nice to know your DR strategy works in a pinch though :)
