I just read on gateworld.net that from July 7 the channel will be known as "Syfy Channel"

just FYI for sky for when they get around to getting this channel to not go looking for sci-fi channel :)

Yep.  Marketing boo boo.  Like CH 9 in Ozz a year or two ago when they changed their logo to just digit 9 .  They changed it back within 12 months.  Bet SciFi channel does the same in a month or two after  they get flack from their viewers..  I believe the reason is that they want to add more non SciFi content (read reality and wrestling ) programs to the schedule..
