Yep, it is the future.
I registered online for it - really just so I can find out whether they will offer it in NZ, and whether call rates will be competitive. (My guess is neither will be true.)
Today you can get a similar service from 2Talk and WorldxChange - i.e. what I call "IP-Centrex" Or at least a personal/SME approximation of IP-Centrex.
I'm pretty sure that businesses can get a real "IP-Centrex" type offering from TelstraClear today as well.

Gotta love that Google brand - but I doubt they will be a true competitive offering in this field in NZ. Happy to be proved wrong on this of course. :)
