I have been following the geekzone forums for the last couple of months and I have decided my first topic should be an issue very dear to my heart, the ever lasting argument between myself and my friends, Cake Vs Pie.

There are NO additional stipulations.

So, what is your preference? Which side do you choose?

Cake. With lots of cream, moist, and strawberries.

Or Apple pie. With lots of cream.

I like a good Factory Made Chicken and Vegetable Ponsonby Pie. Very Nice. Defiantly Recommend to anyone.

I'm beginning to think Mr. Freitas has an obsession with cream.
Looks like 2 votes pie so far.

You can never rule out the possibility that it was defiantly, perhaps he's sticking it to the man and rebelliously recommends we enjoy a good Ponsonby Pie.

freitasm: Definitely.

This shows I should not be trusting the Firefox Spell checker as much as I do!

Chocolate Mud Cake with lashings of cream and chocolate (Spot the chocoholic) and a nice steak, bacon and cheese pie (ahhhh I can feel my arteries clogging up as we speak!)

hard to say.. im with MF on this one.

I like both. I cant prefer one over the other.

If you gave me a choice of either, I would choose both. Either that, or my head would implode

If I was required on penalty of death to choose one to the utter exclusion of t'other, I would still choose both.

Alright, had some time. It all comes down to whether you feel like Savoury or Sweet?

On the savory side, Pie has a massive advantage, being that cakes generally aren't savoury. Pie has that market cornered

So if I felt like savory I would go for a Steak and Cheese pie, or one of those Butter Chicken pies from BP connect. They're super tasty. Or even one of those Beef Bourginon pastry things from Pack n Save or New World. Technically not a pie, but close enough to get away with it i think.

On the Sweet side most people would think that the ball is in Cake's court. But Pie has a few tricks up his sleeve, the Pecan Pie and the uber delicious Banoffee Pie (if you have been to lonestar, you know the Banoffee im talking about)
So Cake has some competitors there. But there are so many types of cake for every occasion, almost unlimited possibilities there. Im talking Chocolate Layer Cake, Chocolate Mud Cake, Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing, all delicious possibilities.

But If the option was there for Banofee pie with lashings of cream on top, then my vote goes to PIE

PIE it is
