As a fan of all things metal I've tried and tried to like DT but they just don't click with me... I know lots of fans though. The drummer in my old band is fizzzzzzing at the cork to see this gig!

Enjoy the show mate!

Fair enough. I have to say their new album wasn't quite as heavy as I'm used to. Still very good though.
Please tell me you like Opeth though!

I have seen both Dreamtheater and Opeth live, and they are both awesome!!
Couldn't turn down an opportunity to see DT live again.

Hmm, have tried with Opeth too... didn't spin my wheels but I've got a mate on my case and I don't think he'll rest until I give in! I'm into some gothic stuff and a bit of doom too so you'd think I'd click with their vibe eh?

It's strange, because I DO like progressive and technical music! It's like - I know I should like 'em, but don't feel anything when I listen.
