I am moving house to a place that has gas heating, cooking etc.

I know we need to have the bottles on the side of the house because there is no gas lines in ChCh so who are the companies that supply these bottles?

I want to ring around to get the best deal but dont know who they are?

any help?

I could lend you my old flatmate if you want? Kept us warm all winter back in the day! Tongue out

I know Contact Energy do gas delivery in Chch through their RockGas brand.

Try using Consumer's online Priceswitch website (does Gas as well), that can give you prices and options for Chch:

Consult your Yellow Pages too, there likely will be some small guys (independents) that supply Gas Bottles

Just be careful about how you organise it. I know there can be problems with bottles being swapped out that are not empty, but you pay for a whole new bottle. I am not sure how it works, as I am not on gas, but have heard complaints.

Try Nova Energy (http://www.novaenergy.co.nz)

Been using them for a long while now, and no problems at all.
