Yeah don't sweat over it, if you need backup, post the thread here :)

One good reason why I never use the Trademe forums, you'll always get someone putting in their 2c where it's not needed. Then pretending to know what they are talking about, even when you have hard evidence against them. If I'm wrong on Geekzone, I admit it :), TM Message Board people need to learn this and respect for others!

I mentioned in the post accidentally about me being a L2 NCEA student and they know I'm 16/17 and said I shouldnt be here blah blah need to be 18 blah blah get a job and stop using mum and dads account ughhhhhh so I told them to get a life and stop trolling but I think I wont use trademe again now until I'm 18, Mum and dad will rage if I get them banned.

Hmm, found the thread, and yep, what a bunch of 'tards. Dunno about that fireball fella, he's managed to get ALL his posts deleted .. twat.

Don't sweat it too much, and I'm sure TM aint gonna bust your parents too much about this ... technically, you should be over 18 to use TM, but even my kids use it frequently to buy and sell games, buy pressies, etc. As do most kids jumping onto their parents account.

Have you tried supermarket chains, petrol stations, butchers like Mad Butcher, etc. They are always looking for personnel to do the drudge work and shift fill-ins. My two boys started off @ 14 yo doing all those menial jobs. The eldest started at New World as a shelf-filler, then to Mad Butch as a meat packer and floor sweeper, and now he's about 6 weeks away from becoming a fully qualified butcher. The youngest @ 15, is at the local Caltex pumping gas, and has saved well over 1K (last I peeked at his statement)

Sure they are menial jobs, but @ 17, that's all you are likely to get.

Yeh fireball was a complete grammar nazi and pointed out EVERY single mistake, down to the last comma, and saying I should stop being stupid and just go buy one and clearly not listening to the OP. And yeh about the job, no one seems to want to hire. I've applied at 3 what used to be food towns, and turned to countdowns I think, 2 mcdonalds, 2 subways, 3 warehouses, 1 pack n'save, 4 local corner shops (2 dairys and 2 takeaway shops), 3 Telecom stores, 4 vodafone stores, 2 DSE stores, and 1 Harvey Norman store. Only people who have gotten back to me are 1 foodtown gone countdown store who said they will let me know when a space free's up. Its ridiculous why no one even calls back to say why they cant hire me. Can't exactly take so much time of their hands to make a single phone call. But yeh, once I get a job and sell all my stuff, I can pay parents back and get an android or ios based phone. Its so annoying why people think teens are less than equal, we learn how to work out what an angle in a triangle when we're giving 2 sides and 1 angle, I'm sure if we can do that then we can easily work out how to work a till or stock a shelf.

Can't you just edit it so it says: "Nothing to see here. Move along." ????

Just forgot about the post :) no skin off your back!!!

The people on there are grammar tards, trolls, teens on school holidays and angry old men. They just need somewhere to vent constantly. They have no real knowledge and are not much help at all!

Elementary, my dear Tardtasticx :-)

Searched for NCEA, and noted that one of the posts mentioned swapping stuff for an iPhone.

Your e-mail address name on GZ matched somewhat with your TM name.

It seems you have gone to a lot of effort to get a P/T job, and I applaud you on your efforts. Not easy getting knocked back and not replied to. Pretty rude. What many of these companies that don't reply back to you out of courtesy don't realise that you too are a potential customer in the future.

It maybe that you are in a populous area, and the competition for the few P/T jobs around must be pretty intense. Being on the outskirts of Auckland may have been why my two boys didn't have much of a problem obtaining P/T work. Both were hired practically on the spot !

Don't do pamphlet drops - that is simply not worth the effort - works out to around a couple of bucks an hour.

Good luck with getting a job. Don't let the retards get you down.

If they were that smart they would be here and not hanging out on the TM message boards :D

I have done a news paper round with Manukau Courier or what ever its called. Ended up being like 10bux a week or something for doing 3 rounds (monday, wednesday and friday), each round being one paper to 150 or so houses, prob closer to 200. I quit because they started being dicks and delivering the papers at 12.30am/1am and they had to be done by 7am the next morning and this was when I was in intermediate school. Then I did a pamphlet drop for a company called deltarg and they did reasonable pay (about 7bux for a little A5 sized pamphlet to close to 500houses, but we'd get lots of pamplets at once (sometimes up to 10) and we'd bundle them together and get close to 90bux each time, and this was about twice a week and the whole family did it so we could go to Australia for our first real holiday together, we saved close to $4K and stopped doing it because I had started high school well by then and it took to much time off my hands, but dad couldnt get any leave over our summer break as he was on call for a chicken processing plant as the head engineer so we just split the money between us all and went shopping :D, just as good. I live in Wattle Downs which is right next to Manurewa, and Manurewa is full of people who are un-skilled/no qualifications so most of the work thats available is already taken, and since I don't have level 2 or 3 yet I'm technically just as good as they are so its a bit hard to fight for a job, especially when those people are most likely to work full time where as I can only work weekend and sometimes after school and during holidays.

So Sam, tell me something.

How do you get to Level 2 NCEA without learning about a quaint old thing called "paragraphs".

Your longer posts are incredibly hard to read due to a total lack of any paragraphs.
