A few times when I had a money pit GTIR

Otherwise recently it's just been a couple of times where the battery has gone flat.

Definitely worth it as you can use it with any vehicle, whether its yours or not, as long as you present your AA card..

And you can use your membership overseas with other automobile clubs as well and get discounts on accommodation.

I've been a member for 11 years and now get unlimited vehicle call outs! They've saved my bacon quite a few times :)

I find AA not only has the best service but also one of the better call centres. You get to a CSR quickly without too much delay.

Agreed.
I've had to use them a few times over the years and they have always had great service.
Been a member pretty much since I started driving so about 16-17 years.

Slightly OT but AA insurance of all kinds is top notch. You pay slightly more than State for example but boy, when you need to claim, it's a stress free process.

I have had roadside assistance since I started driving (my parents paid until I got a job)and now have unlimited call outs.

You can also call it for your friends cars, for example I called them out for my flatmate's motorbike but they found the eletrics were stuffed and they towed it for him to our flat for nothing.

Last call out was because I was unable to get a flat tyre off my car and they had a tool with better leverage and managed to get the wheel off for me.

I also have my insurence through them what gets me discounts as well.

And there are the maps etc.
