I am looking to hire a van in the next week or 2 and drive Wellington -> Pukekohe -> Wellington.

If this happens, the van will be empty on the trip up and half full at most on the way back down.

If you wish to cost share in return for cheap movement of "stuff" let me know.

Anywhere along the route and into Auckland for drop-off/pick-up are possibilities . . .

A vehicle re-location on your behalf from AKL - WLG to help you out would also be considered instead.

Sounds like a Grand Theft Auto mission - pick up some "stuff" in the van.
