Anyone use Snapfish for getting photos printed ?

My wife signed up to Snapfish via an email from Orcon a while ago which was suppose to give us a free book of some sort and she also ended up with free 20 prints as well from some other promotion.

Uploaded a bunch of pics tonight and tried getting them processed - it keeps wanting to charge us for whats free, although when we log into the site it says weve got free items etc to use.

Frustrating as heck website to use tbh..... will be contacting Snapfish tomorrow to find out how their system works.

I agree that the website's order processing logic isn't in line with other e-commerce systems. I had a free print offer once and it kept telling me I had to pay full price right up until entering my credit card details where it finally said it had processed my discount code.

Don't they charge you postage anyway for these free snaps, and it actually works out cheaper just to take them to HN and get them done for 12 cents each, and thats on higher quality fuji film. I don't like the HP prints, I think it is poor quality paper and ink compared the fuji prints, which look just like proper photos.

Yes you can get stuff sent to an old DigitalMax pharmacy - it does seem strange than when doing it it still lists a cost - but I think it does turn out free.  I had a couple of canvases - $59.95 to two (2 for 1 deal for fathers day) and it didn't cost me anything for shipping to a pharmacy - instead of the $20 it should of cost.

I know for my free prints (I got a $5 credit for joining) - I used some of that $5 for shipping.  It is confusing so i keep meaning to try it, It's advantage over HN is the free disk storage, it's supposedly unlimited - just not as nice to use as Flickr or Picasa web albums.

Back when it was DigitalMax it was actually a really good service. At that stage the only competition was those overpriced self-printers outside the Kodak shops. I used to upload all my photos to DM and have them delivered for free to a chemist next to where I worked.

But now HP have bought DigitalMax, and have ruined it with tons of "free prints", but exorbitant delivery charges. With HN and Dick Smiths offering <15c prints now, there's not much point using SnapFish.
